- What ages can participate in the club?
- Our target age is 13 to 16 but will take kids 10 to 18
- How much does it cost to attend?
- At this point, no cost to attend
- How often do you meet?
- Once a month
- What happens during the meetings?
- We will hear from people who work in the different trades, owners, managers, workers; we will do projects that will teach them about the trades, and we will do some field trips to places of business, job sites, museums, ect.
- Who is sponsoring this club?
- The Hands On team will be the main sponsor, however, we will also be sponsored by business in the trades, trades schools, and other like-minded entities. The Hands On Club, Inc is a 501 c-3, non-profit organization set up to inform kids about the opportunities for kids in the trades and teach them a little about the mechanical world in which we all live.
- Can you help my child find a job?
- We are not a job placement service and most of the kids are not 18 years old which is usually the employment age for work in the trades. For this who are of age, we can make referrals to the companies who offer educational opportunities in a particular trade.
- How can I help?
- If you would like to volunteer to help us bring these educational opportunities to the kids, please refer to the contact information on this website. If you would like to donate to the Hands On Club, Inc., please contact us from the information on the website.
